In this project, I would like to show the gap between the specific character of a skyscraper crane worker and me. When he was working, I gave him a head-set installed with a small camcorder and displayed video footage of one hour without any editing in the gallery. In addition, I made a room simulated like a worker's resting room(anteroom) with a window having a scenery of working place in the gallery entrance. In the process of this project, I hope to reveal the difference between our perceptual boundaries. I tried to find a skyscraper crane worker for this project because I have acrophobia and wanted to make something I could not do directly as a component of my project. He and I have the same five senses but we have different perceptions because of my individual fear. I have always been interested in the individuals and their daily life, especially in microscopic events de-contextualized and articulated.
